Atlantic Packaging President Wes Carter Appointed to The Conservation Alliance Board of Directors

Wilmington, N.C. – May 30, 2023 – Atlantic Packaging is pleased to announce that company President Wes Carter has been appointed to The Conservation Alliance board of directors. With a presence across North America, The Conservation Alliance harnesses the collective power of business and outdoor communities to advocate for the protection of our wild places. This includes supporting grassroots environmental organizations that contribute to the long-term health of outdoor recreation while helping ensure access for future generations.

“We are thrilled to welcome Wes to The Conservation Alliance board as we continue to expand our board composition beyond the outdoor industry while elevating the role our members have in protecting wild places and stewarding land and water conservation,” said The Conservation Alliance Executive Director Nicole Rom. “Wes brings a unique skillset and background to the board, from his experience in sustainable packaging and creating a more sustainable supply chain to launching A New Earth Project, and we look forward to his contributions as board member.”

Atlantic Packaging remains committed to supporting the intelligent transition to a circular packaging supply chain and a waste-free world. With packaging accounting for more than 40 percent of plastic waste according to 2018 EPA data, Atlantic has recognized its corporate responsibility to have a positive impact on sustainability. Its A New Earth Project initiative further supports the company’s commitment by bringing together the voices of ocean and water advocacy groups with brands and organizations in the supply chain equipped to bring solutions to the table to address existing problems.

“Joining The Conservation Alliance board of directors strongly aligns with my commitment to work collaboratively with business leaders to support a healthy, sustainable supply chain that protects wild places and honors all life on our planet,” said Carter. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and look forward to being a part of The Conservation Alliance’s mission to work together to promote and expand conservation efforts on the local, national and international level.”
