(GREENVILLE, S.C.) – March 29, 2023 – South Carolina Charities, Inc., the non-profit foundation of the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX, is pleased to welcome two board members with the addition of Andrew ‘Andy’ B. Cajka Jr. and Todd Horne.
“Our board is comprised of a dedicated team of community leaders committed to our continued efforts to deliver a world-class event to Upstate South Carolina while giving back to local non-profits,” said Bob Nitto, president of South Carolina Charities, Inc. “We are excited to have Andy and Todd join our board of directors and know that South Carolina Charities and the BMW Charity Pro-Am will greatly benefit from their leadership and extensive involvement in the local community.”
Andy Cajka
is the founder and president of Southern Hospitality Group, LLC, a hotel management and development company in Greenville, and has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to launching Southern Hospitality Group, he led the opening of 14 Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. Cajka has held leadership positions with various local organizations including serving on the board of directors for OneSpartanburg Inc., chairman of the Spartanburg Tourism Council, Greenville Hospital Foundation, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, the Metropolitan Arts Council and the Greenville County Research & Technological Development Corporation. Cajka also served as a member of the BMW Nationwide Tournament advisory board, Urban League, Upstate Red Cross, and Thornblade Board of Governors. Cajka is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, and in 2022 he received the designation of Honorary Alumnus of Clemson University.
Todd Horne
is president of Clayton Construction Company, Inc. Under Horne’s leadership Clayton Construction Company has been named one of South Carolina’s Fastest Growing Companies and recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in the state. Prior to serving as president of Clayton Construction Company, Horne spent 14 years as vice president of business development. Having spent most of his life in the upstate, Horne enjoys giving back to and serving the Spartanburg community. He actively serves on the boards of OneSpartanburg Inc., United Way and Ten at the Top. Horne is a graduate of USC Upstate and currently serves on the USC Upstate Foundation Board. Horne has received numerous awards including Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year, the Welling Award for Regional Collaboration, Leadership Spartanburg Alumnus of the Year, Who’s Who of the Upstate, and the University of South Carolina Upstate Distinguished Alumni of the Year.
